Redmi 12 Overview

Redmi 12 was launched on 15 June, 2023. It comes with a 6.79-inch IPS LCD display which supports resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels at ~396 pixels-per-inch.

The Redmi 12 is powered by Octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor and Mali-G52 GPU. It offers 4GB / 8GB RAM and 128GB / 256GB storage options. The phone runs MI UI 14 on top of Android 13 operating system.

As regard camera quality, the Redmi 12 boasts a triple camera setup of 50 MP x 8 MP x 2 MP lenses on the rear side, while on the front side, it features a single 8 MP camera.

Redmi 12 has a 5000-mAh battery and supports fast charging as well as wireless charging. It comes with Hybrid Dual (Nano-SIM) for connectivity. It measures 6.64 x 3.00 x 0.32 inch (height x width x thickness) and weighs 198.5 grams.

Redmi 12 Review

The Redmi 12 is a good budget phone with a large display, capable main camera for daytime shots and solid battery life. The phone feels well-built with its glass back and IP53 rating and the inclusion of 128GB storage is a welcome upgrade. However, the outdated Helio G88 chipset is the major drawback, especially considering competitor phones offer the latest processors at similar price points.
